Weeks of runways and fashion shows have given way to the Fort Tryon Park Medieval Fair. Here the catwalk is covered in heather and leaves. The models come in all shapes, sizes and ages. The historical costumes are researched to varying degrees while for some the medieval fashion is just an excuse to dress like a princess. Some fans bypassed the time period altogether and dressed as their favorite fairy-tale characters (loved the Wicked Witch and her winged monkey with red behind).
