Can an intellectual game be the muse for edgy fashion? Noir Tribe Media and fashion designer CLIFFLEE believe so. I was brought on board to help get the word out on this project. They are launching their fashion and film collaboration, "The Immortal Game" online. The movie is inspired by the legendary chess game of 1851. Cliff Lee styled six different looks based on six key chess pieces.
CLIFFLEE's looks are dark, edgy yet feminine. They make you look at the classic game of kings in a way you never have before... Cliff studied at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. He cut his teeth working with designers Jean Paul Gaultier, Helmut Lang and at Christian Dior before striking out on his own.
The short film is a stylish work that makes the act of showcasing an aesthetic or fashion a work of art. Each chess character has been revealed over the past few weeks dedicated to a different international fashion week... The Pawn represents New York. The look was inspired by Holly Go-Lightly in Breakfast at Tiffany. She may have started as a pawn to others, but with the right moves, anyone can become a queen.
To promote the project, they have a great Pinterest contest running. They want pinners to create a board inspired by the dark style of the film. You could win the Breakfast at Tiffany inspired Pawns's hat, umbrella and dress custom made to you by designer CLIFFLEE himself.
