Lindsay Degen is the queen of binge knitting. The designer presented a quirky bright collection at Industria Studios today for NY Fashion Week.
She first got a feel knits by knitting for a caused with Cincinnati grandmothers to help premature babies and cancer patients. Her past collections have also drawn inspirations from more social causes, like the Military's repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell for Fall 2012. For Spring 2013, Degen concentrated on a crafting "revolution".
Lindsay Degen attended the Rhode Island School of Design and hopped across the ocean to London's Central St. Martin before settling down to business in New York City. The collection today looks very handmade, with crochet elements, fringe and sculpted additions for Converse sneakers. The designer was also flanked by friends dancing and multiple members of her family for support at the show.
