Fashion Illustration: A Contemporary Look

It's an evolving, but rarely appreciated art form.  Fashion illustration was once relegated as merely images for advertising, but have endured to become a medium that is responsible for shaping the world's most stylish brands.

The biggest fashion illustration exhibit in over ten years is set to debut during NY Fashion Week.  The group of artists in the show use mediums that range from pen and watercolor to masking tape and digital.

Among the artists in the exhibit are Antonio Lopez, credited with establishing the "New Look" of fashion illustration.  Images with friends Jerry Hall, Grace Coddington and Karl Lagerfeld will be shown to the public for the first time.

In addition to the exhibit, there will be panel discussions, free illustration classes, fashion film series and live demonstrations with artist Bill Donovan.
